I arrived at the Roosevelt Hotel late Friday night; the hallway to my room reminded me a bit of the The Shining…
but the view from my room of Hollywood Boulevard was amazing:

I love to swim, and the pool at the Roosevelt Hotel doesn’t disappoint:
Later that weekend there was a VIP pool party for the premiere of Tarzan next door:
The TCL Chinese Theater was right across the street from my hotel; you can see hand prints there from Hollywood legends, old and new:
as well as the world’s largest IMAX theater:
I had to at least walk by The Magic Castle, a private club for magicians:
The block of Hollywood Boulevard in front the Dolby Theater, home of the Oscars and next door to the Chinese Theater, was roped off so crews could set up for the Tarzan premiere.
